Power of W: Women Thriving in Their Third Act (Orpen Press, 2023)

The role of women in society has never have received so much focus and attention as in recent years. Much of this focus had been dominated by career, but retirement (the Third Act) has become an increasingly topical subject today.

We are living about 30 years longer than our great-grandparents’ generation. How do we wish to live this second adulthood? The time is ripe now for women’s perspective on and contribution to society to be acknowledged, respected, and acted upon. Older women can play a significant role in society. Their influence on the younger generation can be a tremendously valuable legacy, as women in their Third Act embrace their authentic selves.

Power of W focuses on how women can live a more impactful life. It is an inward personal development journey. Embracing the 3Cs of Conscious presence, Connection, and Contribution, women can play a significant role in society and influence their wider community. Nowhere is this more significant than in their Third Act, the ‘Wise Woman’ phase. The common thread throughout Power of W is to live the life of your dreams, recreate and reconnect with whatever gives you joy. Aligning more with Source, your life becomes more whole and fulfilled as you radiate your true essence.

…Her (Ann’s) realisations – psychological, social, and spiritual – are gifts to the potential readers of the book…the book is primarily directed at women…but I would also recommend men in the second half of life to also read it..’
